I have never ever thought that I was that kind of person who would even consider to have a plastic surgery. I thought then that I was really comfortable with my body even though it was far from being perfect. It never came to me that I needed any surgical intervention at all. I was contented and happy with myself.
It was after having 4 children when I started to think long and hard about having a makeover. I really felt that the time to making such decision was inevitable. My once flat stomach had turned into a wrinkly mess. My abdominal muscles had totally stretched so it looked like I had a big belly, although I had lost all of my pregnancy weight. I breastfed all four of my kids so my breasts looked deflated. Before having children, not once did I worry about clothes – but now I had to think about how best to hide my stomach or choose tops that didn’t accentuate my saggy breasts. I found out about Dr. Rino Lorenzo through a friend that was one of his previous patient, then I start searching for him as my friend had said he is a reputable surgeon online. After meeting him I knew that he was the right surgeon for me. He was very professional and understanding. The good doctor made me feel so comfortable from my very first visit to his office. And his staff was all so friendly as well. Among the issues that assisted me in selecting Dr. Lorenzo as my surgeon was the fact that he introduced me to previous patients who had had comparable surgeries done. I was able to see actual individuals with actual results and not just photos. It increased my confidence in him to see his work and talk to patients about their experiences. After leaving Dr. Lorenzo’s workplace following that initial visit, I knew I had made a good decision.
I ended up obtaining a tummy tuck, breast lift and breast augmentation. The surgery itself was uneventful. Everything went smoothly and I had no complications. The hardest part was not having the ability to pick up my kids for nearly four weeks after the surgery. Dr. Lorenzo and his staff were absolutely incredible. They guided and supported me throughout the entire procedure, visited me in my hotel and followed up with telephone calls nearly twice a week. They were sincere and genuine in their concern for my well-being. The staff in his office are so warm and caring – I actually looked forward to my follow-up visits – his staff made the appointments so enjoyable.
It is been five months since my surgery and I can honestly say that it is been life-changing. I was ready for the physical changes that occurred but was not at all prepared for the emotional changes. I’ve a more self-esteem than I had after having my children. Even my husband observed and stated that I exuded a self-confidence that he hadn’t noticed inside for a while. I understand that a person’s self-worth shouldn’t be found in one’s physical appearance. Nevertheless, I think that if you’re unhappy about something about yourself, whether it be a physical or character trait, you should make a decision on how to improve yourself. I had done all that I could find a solution to problems regarding my confidence and the way that I looked. All I needed was a little assistance to solve it. I’m absolutely and completely thrilled about my new physique. I really feel just like I did before having my children. I owe everything to Dr. Lorenzo and his fantastic staff. I really feel completely indebted to him for giving me a part of my identity back.
