Fat grafting is a relatively safe and straight forward procedure used to improve volume and quality of facial skin and structures.

Fat is usually harvested from abdomen or thigh areas. This fat process is in a pure form and then injected into area or the face were volume augmentation is needed. Fat grafts can be used to treat deep lines of the face like nasolabial line, marionette line, nasojugal grove or frown line.

Fat grafts can also be use to improve volume of certain facial areas or structures like cheek augmentation or chin augmentation.

The procedure is done under sedation during fat harvesting and fat injection. The procedure can be done in an outpatient facility, after which patient may go home to recuperate and rest.
