Areolar Reduction is best done for patients who have widen or dilated areolar base that becomes aesthetically unappealing. This procedure may be combined with a breast lift procedure and also address the excess sagging skin of the breast which will result in improvement of breast projection and breast contour. This is usually done in outpatient clinics under local anesthesia. Suture are removed between four to seven days after the operation. There could be some swelling after the procedure, but it subsides after several days or weeks.
