The best candidates for tummy tuck are men and women in good health and mothers who are unhappy to the appearance of their abdomen. Though this is effective for moms after having multiple pregnancies, women who are considering having future pregnancy should post-pone the procedure. Pregnancies can decrease the procedures’ effectiveness and longevity.

People who were once obese and are still having loose skins and excess fat deposits on their bellies are also good candidates for this procedure. The Procedure

It is generally performed under general anesthesia and on an outpatient basis. Usually it can take one to five hours to finish. During the procedure, an incision is made at the pubic bone portion through which the surgeon will tighten the abdominal muscles and pull the remaining skin downwards. Some surgeon will make sure cheap bell ross that muscles are as tight as possible so that the stomach will maintain its new shape as long as possible.

Mothers who have Cesarean section are in advantage. Your surgeon can use that section for this procedure or he can also remove it during the procedure so that you will have only one scar.

During Recovery

Your surgeon will give instructions on what to do for faster recovery. Usually, ten days after the surgery, you will be able to comfortably do light activities. You must not do any vigorous work for six weeks. This may lengthen the healing process of the wound.

You can usually return to work about four weeks after the operation. It will take about six weeks to fully recover from the surgery. But this depends upon the individual’s ability to follow the advice of the surgeon. Your surgeon may advice you to wear a support garment for up to six weeks after the surgery to protect the healing wound.

Possible Risk

Minimal pain and swelling will occur days after the surgery. Your doctor will prescribe you medicine for these. You may also experience some soreness, tiredness and numbness during that time. The procedure leaves a scar. Your surgeon might recommend some ointments and creams when you are already healed for the scar to fade.
